Wrapping up in a few extra layers is an essential part of autumn-winter dressing – as much to protect us from the cold as to make any kind of fashion statement! Compared to men, it’s fair to say that women get a rough deal when it comes to lingerie shopping. Of course, being dedicated followers of fashion, our favourite part of the live shows is analysing the nightly frock-offs between the female judges. Cheryl and Dannii may have moved on but Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos have already proven themselves more than worthy replacements.

When we think of floral dresses, we think of spring/summer fashion – bright primary colours against bare legs and sandaled feet. But as the seasons change, there’s no reason why we need to stick rigidly to one-colour dresses.
