I ordered this waistcoat for an extra layer and it would do the job, but I also expected it to be a little more trendy. The large knit makes it a bit frumpy and the cap sleeves stick out (ie the photo implies they will be fitted to the arm but they are not). I have returned it.

Really nice cardigan at great price, will certainly be making good use of it. Only issue I would say is if you do the buttons up & then wear them undone the button holes stretch quite a bit to a weird shape.
